The formation of FBANA in 1995 marked the beginning of a tradition that has grown and evolved over the years. Starting with just five Toronto-cities and basketball leaders Toronto-Ed Semira, Chicago- Ben Libao, Mississauga- Geopo Dacanay, Windsor- Ed Parungao, Vaughan- Zomy Ajon, it quickly expanded to 15 cities, showcasing the growing interest and participation in the annual Labour Day tournament. The bilateral agreement between the USA and Canada underscores the collaborative spirit of the organization, fostering friendships and competition across borders. As FBANA enters its second decade, it remains committed to adapting to the changing landscape of community basketball, striving to provide participants with a top-notch tournament experience while pioneering new trends in the sport.
